The Glassworks is an adaptive re-use project. The 1960’s Armstrong Glass warehouse was originally used to manufacture stained glass windows. With a total of 45,000 SF, Glassworks features creative loft office space for entrepreneurs and professionals. Completed in June 2007, the project included a total renovation of the original 24,000 SF building and construction of two new 10,000 SF buildings. Unique features include skylights, 23′ ceilings, mezzanine space, and exposed interior brick walls.
The units are mostly occupied by “creatives” including architecture firms, a fashion designer, a renovation company, marketing and advertising agencies.
In 2016 B+C moved into a large two story unit in Building A and renovated the space. Future plans include expansion of the mezzanine, addition of a roll up door, and building our own outdoor garden space. We are currently working with the other owners and managers to rejuvenate the landscaping and add the latest in green infrastructure elements to our site.
Location – Glassworks is located in the heart of the popular intown area known as Midtown West. Located at 1320 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard between Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road, Glassworks has convenient access to Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead, as well as easy access to the I-75/85 Connector via 10th, 14th and 17th Streets. Our neighbors include Star Provisions, Bacchanalia, and Bone Garden, along with retailers Daltile, Restaurant Depot, and Westside Market. We are also just down the street from Top Golf. But perhaps best about our location is that the Atlanta Beltline is proposed to go right in front of our office in the not so distant future.
