Carter Gilson

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Carter graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree in May of 2023. In his studies, Carter enjoyed exploring sustainable design techniques including green roofs, bioretention systems, and other creative stormwater management strategies. He carried this knowledge to a 12-month internship at an architecture firm in Atlanta, Georgia during his final year of school. Throughout his internship, he acquired valuable experience working on higher education campus design and multi-family residential projects. He also has experience working with an installation crew at a hardscape design firm in Richmond, Virginia. Carter is passionate about creating healthy places that bring people peace and joy. He is eager to bring his passion and experience to the talented design team at b+c Studio.

Carter is a native of Richmond, Virginia and it was there that he discovered his love for the outdoors. During a break between semesters in the Summer of 2021, Carter’s love for nature carried him on a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Outside of the office, you will likely find Carter exploring the greenways and trails of Atlanta by bicycle and foot or camping in the mountains of North Georgia.
